Threadworms are 1cm long and white.They are very thin and threadlike.
These worms lay thousands of eggs just outside the anus(add hole).This causes itching,especially at night.When child scratches,the eggs stick under his nails,and are carried to food and other objects.In this way they reach his own mouth prep mouth of others, causing new infections of threadworms.
Threadworms are not dangerous.They only cause itching which may disturb a child's sleep.

Hookworms can be treated with Mebendazole or albendazole.Treat anaemia by eating food rich in iron and if necessary by taking iron pills.
TAPEWORM
In the intestines,tapeworm grow as several meters long.
People get tapeworm from eating pork(pig meat),beef(cow meat) or other meat that is not well cooked.
To prevent this worm be careful that all meat is well cooked,especially pork.Make sure no parts in the centers of roasted meat are still raw.
Tapeworms in the intestines sometimes causes mild stomach aches,but few other problems.
The greatest danger exists when the cysts (small sacs containing baby worms)get into a person's brain.This happens when the egg pass from his stool to his mouth.
Anyone with tapeworm must follow all guidelines of cleanliness carefully and get treated as soon as possible.

To treat:keep the sore clean.Soak the sore in cold water to encourage the worms to come out quickly.
Attach a thread to the worm, or roll it round a matchstick and pull gently,a little more each day.This takes time.
